indie Semiconductor is a fabless semiconductor company specializing in the design of innovative mixed-signal System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions for automotive applications.

The IT/Server manager will be responsible for the administration and internal support of the Indie's global server environment, global server projects and implementations. This role will report to the Director of IT and will develop / implement the global server strategy for our sites. The role will also provide day to day support to the office and surrounding countries. This resource will lead the migration and implementation to Windows domain services. The position will be stationed in either Edinburgh, Scotland or Dresden Germany.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan and implement new Windows Domain

  • Migrate from Open Ldap to Active Directory

  • Develop plan for global domain migration

  • Develops, initiates, maintains, and revises policies, procedures, standards and documentation related to supported systems.

  • Administration of vSphere environment

  • Installs/configs local SANs

  • Supports global storage solutions

  • Test and execute backup and disaster recovery for operating systems, databases, and servers.

  • Provide technical assistance and support to resolve all hardware/software related issues

  • Coordinate PC repairs, software/hardware installations, delivery of new equipment

  • Work closely within Indie's global IT team to ensure timely end-user support and quality of service

  • Configure, install, troubleshoot, repair, update and maintain all desktops, laptops, mobile devices

  • Support/Develop DR strategies

  • Supports onboarding of new employees

  • Produces KPI reports for key measurables

  • Use critical thinking skills to meet all job requirements and insure project management success for the organization.

  • Establish effective, professional business relationships with all levels of management and customers.

  • Provide technical support for software applications and hardware including but not limited to Server, SAN, Network, UPS, and VoIP equipment

  • All other duties assigned by management

  • 3 years in a supervisory role

  • 5+ years working with IT Service management tools

  • 5+ years providing support for engineering environments

  • 3+ years supporting/implementing SAN/NAS

  • 5+ years supporting Microsoft Windows Server up to and including 2019

  • Office365 administration experience

  • VMWare or other Virtualized Server Environments

  • Firewalls, VPNs & WiFi (Eg. SonicWall, Cisco & Meraki)

  • Microsoft Windows 10, CentOS, RHLE, MAC OS

  • 5+ years Industry experience as a IT Engineer or Systems Administrator

  • Solid background in server administration and architecture

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science and 8+ years of professional experience

  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Citrix, RDS, Exchange, VoIP, and VMWare systems.

  • Experience in maintaining and administering IIS, SQL Server, SharePoint and MS Office applications.

  • Experience maintaining network switches, access points, routers, and firewalls.

  • Scripting and basic coding skills
