Test Engineer (Industrial Radar Products)

indie is an Autotech solutions innovator. We focus on edge sensors spanning multiple modalities including LiDAR, radar, ultrasound and vision for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), autonomous vehicles, connected car, user experience and electrification applications.

indie Semiconductor is a fabless semiconductor company specializing in the design of innovative mixed-signal System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions for automotive applications. This position will support Symeo, an indie Semiconductor company, specializes in radar hardware and software development for emerging safety system applications, offering industry-leading RF and sensor technology that enables real-time position detection and distance measurement.

As part of a cross-functional development team, you will interact with other essential disciplines, test teams, and production.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in innovative radar systems in a fast-growing environment, where your contribution directly drives the success of the industrial radar products.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Development of product-specific test concepts and definition of test sequences

  • Design, planning, selection, commissioning and maintenance of test equipment

  • Develop, review and maintain technical documentation related to test equipment

  • You accompany the development of test benches and test software up to the handover to our outsourced production

  • Focal point for collection of lessons learned from production and support and taking the suitable actions to improve test coverage and production flow

  • Analyzing test results and failure analyses of hard- and software

  • Contribution to industrialization and manufacturing concepts

  • Bachelor Electrical Technology or Professional (“Techniker”) with experience in test bench development

  • Expertise in programming with Python, C#, Bash

  • Well versed Linux knowledge

  • Hardware background required

  • RF experience is a plus

  • Reading and analyzing complex circuit diagrams

  • Fluent in German, reasonable English communication skills
