indie is an Autotech solutions innovator. We focus on edge sensors spanning multiple modalities including LiDAR, radar, ultrasound and vision for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), autonomous vehicles, connected car, user experience and electrification applications.
We are seeking a Staff Hardware Development and Lab Test Engineer to join our indie radar systems team as staff engineer. Focus of the position is hardware design for radar boards and system (IF boards, digital boards) as well as characterizing the performance of mmWave ICs and systems. This involves defining the measurement and characterization of the DUT, building the setup and integrating it into our verification environment. You will work closely with design team as well as the DevOps team to deliver the setups. You will participate in the evaluation and test of the MMIC and support the relevant functionalities.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop challenging and innovative RFICs in a fast-growing startup environment, where your contribution directly drives the success of the automotive radar team and indie Semiconductor as a whole.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsibility for board design and measurement methods for Radar MMICs.
Derive setups for characterization of mmWave ICs and boards.
Automate qualification measurements and evaluation.
Support the development of evaluation kits within the hardware and application team.
Contribute to automated unit tests (SIL and HIL) with the hardware.
Support measurement and evaluation setups.
In an agile development environment, you will be part of striving towards best performance and stability of our measurement setups.
You actively collaborate with teams from different departments and sites in an international environment.
Some travel will be required, including international.

University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, comparable qualification or industrial experience.
Significant experience in hardware and PCB design at radio frequencies.
Familiar with measurement setups and characterization of analog ICs/boards.
Knowledge of Python or Matlab for instrumentation control and automation.
Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, JIRA or Gerrit) is a plus.
Business-fluent English is required, German language skills are a plus.
