indie is an Autotech solutions innovator. We focus on edge sensors spanning multiple modalities including LiDAR, radar, ultrasound and vision for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), autonomous vehicles, connected car, user experience and electrification applications.
We are seeking a staff engineer in embedded SW development to join our indie radar systems team. This position will be responsible for generating the Radar MMIC API in C under a Linux system. This involves deriving the right register settings for different modes of operation from the required measurements and functionalities. The API is a key software piece for both internal evaluation and external customer support via the Apps team.
You will participate in the evaluation and test of the MMIC and support the relevant functionalities. In an agile development environment, you will be part of striving towards best performance and stability of our software. As part of a cross-functional development team, you will work closely together with the Radar IC design team, the apps team, and the system experts in the group.
Work on embedded driver development for Radar MMICs and generate the API for the MMIC.
Support the application team SW development for GUI and user software within the embedded API.
Work on clock cycle precision device control throughout the system.
Contribute to automated unit tests (SIL and HIL) with the driver.
Support measurement and evaluation setups.

BSc or equivalent and 1-3+ years of experience in requirements management
Significant experience in using C, C++, and Python.
Familiar with tools for architecting software as well as analysis tool for debugging, profiling, and tracing.
Solid Linux background.
Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, JIRA or Gerrit) is a plus.
Fluent English written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of German is a plus.
Some travel will be required, including international.
