Staff Engineer Development Operations

indie is an Autotech solutions innovator. We focus on edge sensors spanning multiple modalities including LiDAR, radar, ultrasound and vision for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), autonomous vehicles, connected car, user experience and electrification applications.

We are seeking a development operations (DevOps) staff engineer to join our indie radar team. This position is responsible for software development infrastructure and the continuous integration tool chain in the automotive radar space. It is a unique opportunity to grow with the team and shape the future infrastructure of indie.

The position is part of an international DevOps framework and will directly report in the DevOps lead. Together with the software team you, will plan the automated test and validation strategy for the software products. Your will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the right infrastructure as well as operating Jenkins environments and HIL/SIL tests with high diagnostic coverage. Together with the software team you will define future test setups and scout for emerging technologies and new trends.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Setup and maintain continuous integration and testing with Jenkins.

  • Develop the setup to include HIL and SIL functionality in the continuous integration services.

  • Support and refine automated documentation strategies

  • Automated license checks of the code base.

  • Support the development of the integrated testing strategy of SW development team.

  • Monitor new developments and technology trends in the area of automated software testing, validation and verification

  • BSc or equivalent and 1-3+ years of experience withPython, Bash, Linux

  • Proficiency in Git, Jenkins, and Docker

  • Interest in automated SW test and the suitable methodologies

  • Experience in setting up and maintaining IT infrastructure

  • Good communication skills for internal cooperation

  • Knowledge of automotive SW development under ISO26262 is a plus

  • Fluent English written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of German is a plus.
