indie is an Autotech solutions innovator. We focus on edge sensors spanning multiple modalities including LiDAR, radar, ultrasound and vision for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), autonomous vehicles, connected car, user experience and electrification applications.
We are seeking an automotive requirements staff engineer for our growing radar team. This cross-functional position will directly report to VP level and is a unique opportunity to shape the development process at indie. You will work with the software (SW) development team, the apps team, and the automotive end customers to capture the requirement sets for our future products in Jama.
The collected requirements will serve as direct input to the SW development and test implementation. Traceability is ensured by mapping the requirements against suitable test cases for diagnostic coverage in accordance with the V model. Proper documentation for complete fulfilment of ISO2626 is required.
Define the requirements of the future radar software together with the end customer and the apps team.
Identification, compilation, and control of the radar software and system specifications. This includes the requirement sources and regulations governing radar systems, e.g., ETSI/FCC.
Map the requirements against the verification tests.
Tracking of implementation and successful testing of requirements up to the releases.
Maintenance and further development of necessary documentation, processes, and tools.
Working closely with highly specialized software developers and system engineers.
Training of customer facing teams (applications, FAEs) to gather customer requirement information.
Organize and plan the activities to reach automotive SPICE requirements for the development team.
Definition, implementation, and collection of key figures to analyze the status of traceability in the projects.
Some travel will be required, including international.

BSc or equivalent and 1-3+ years of experience in requirements management
Automotive-SPICE and ISO 26262 knowledge
Well trained in requirement management tools like Jama
Proficiency with modern SW development methodologies
Radar know-how is a plus
Knowledge of a programming languages (C++ and Python) is a plus
Strong communication and team skills as well as commitment, initiative and capable of working independently both within the team and with customers
Fluent English written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of German is a plus.
