We are seeking a talented and motivated design validation and test (DVT) engineer to join our indie radar team. This position is responsible for testing and characterizing mmWave radar IC designs. You will join a team of engineers in charge of developing the next generation automotive radar. You will be involved in the design and characterization of mmWave circuits and systems in advanced CMOS technologies, bringing an innovative advanced radar solution to the automotive market. As part of a cross-functional development team, the candidate will interact with other essential disciplines, including IC teams, IC packaging team, test teams, and PCB teams. This is an exciting opportunity to develop challenging and innovative RFICs in a fast-growing startup environment, where your contribution directly drives the success of the automotive radar team and indie Semiconductor as a whole.
Validate indie's ICs functionality in the lab against design and application requirements.
Tasks include test plan and procedure generation, initial chip bring up, full IP and chip level validation and characterization over process and temperature and debug analysis while the product is in development stage.
Define and develop the test setups with reasonable tradeoffs between accuracy, measurement time, and cost.
Develop automation software for the tests using LabView or Python preferably.
Design hardware fixtures, e.g. a PCB, as a part of the test setup if no off-the-shelf solution is available.
Collect, consolidate and analyze test data for review with the design and quality teams.
Participate in board and chip design reviews to ensure all the parameters can be tested.
Help implement design features for testing and automation purposes.
Design and operate complex mm-wave radar and antenna / on-wafer test setups.
Write and debug test scripts (i.e., in MATLAB/Python).
Process and analyze measurement results.

Master’s degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering + 1 year’s experience.
Solid foundation on basic circuits and demonstrated good understanding on basic analog circuits on areas like transistors, Op Amp, ADC, DAC, oscillator, DC-DC converter and clock. Ethernet, PCIe, Serdes knowledge is a definitive plus.
Experience in post-silicon validation, silicon bring-up, testing/debug.
Hands on capability to develop and implement test scripts using LabView and Python programming.
Experience with high-speed and RF test equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer).
Experience in performing RF measurements (e.g. noise figure, gain, power, matching, phase noise, linearity, and spurs).
Post-silicon radar characterization is a plus.
Experience in RF/standard board design is plus.
Enjoy debugging as well as inventing more efficient ways to test indie's ICs.
Systematic and very well organized working style.
