Program Manager – RADAR Software

indie is an Autotech solutions innovator. We focus on edge sensors spanning multiple modalities including LiDAR, radar, ultrasound and vision for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), autonomous vehicles, connected car, user experience and electrification applications.

Today’s Radar chipsets have a strong system and software content, with typically more than 50% of the development team working those areas. Within the Radar BU, you will be responsible for the program management of the systems, software and applications team. This includes day to day management of the project as well as strategic alignment on tools, procedures and best practices. Further, you’ll interface and augment the Indie process landscape and help us shape our organizational skills. The position is part of Indie’s Radar BU program management team, reporting into the overall program manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Direct the planning, creation and updating of schedules, tracking execution details against plan/schedule for software, systems, and applications across all facets of design from within the indie radar systems group.

  • Represent the radar systems teams in interfacing with senior management, product management, and customers including regular reporting and escalation when required.

  • Champion the development & deployment of best practices to improve program performance, efficiency, and produce repeatable results across a growing business.

  • Support the systems and technical leads within the radar group to ensure a smooth program execution.

  • Ensure engineering program management for the radar systems follows company gate review process.

  • Drive accountability and awareness, solve problems, remove roadblocks, and proactively search out and address risks or weaknesses to ensure projects meet quality standards and completes on time and in budget.

  • Responsible for end-to-end project planning & rigorous execution management for the radar systems group to improve project execution certainty.

  • Spearhead communication & visibility to ensure alignment at all levels of the organization, spearhead corporate initiatives supporting various lateral organizations such as Marketing, Quality, Central Engineering, Test Engineering, Logistics, Functional Safety, etc.

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Microelectronics or similar

  • Must possess strong leadership and communication skills to work with cross-functional software, systems and silicon development teams to meet internal and customer commitments.

  • 10+ years of experience managing complex integrated system and software development projects

  • Strong program management and fundamentals, understanding of product- and process development in terms of project initiation, planning and tracking, including reporting and documentation

  • Must possess strong leadership and communication skills to work with cross-functional silicon development teams to meet internal and customer commitments

  • Experience with systems and software product development cycles, DevOPs structures, concept to production, Automotive development environment including Functional Safety Requirements (ISO26262)

  • Experience dealing directly with external customer both on the technical and management sides.
