indie is an Autotech solutions innovator. We focus on edge sensors spanning multiple modalities including LiDAR, radar, ultrasound and vision for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), autonomous vehicles, connected car, user experience and electrification applications.
indie Semiconductor is looking for a seasoned technical writer and editor to support our engineer and applications teams with technical documentation, application notes and user guides. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, meet project deadlines without sacrificing quality and collaborate with our engineering and marketing teams, to develop high-quality and consistent customer facing documentation for a diverse range of automotive semiconductor solutions.
Develop technical documentation including external facing and highly detailed internal product data sheets
Support definition of document review process, workflow, and document control tools
Compile technical library and ensure consistency for product language, function descriptions, schematics, and drawings
Align all documentation in accordance with corporate style guides and brand identity
Remain current on industry-standards and innovative approaches to document management and workflow
Meet project deadlines without sacrificing quality
Prioritize and execute projects based on business priorities, ensuring all urgent business unit and/or sales and marketing requests are met in a timely manner
Maintain strong collaboration and communication between engineering and design groups
Continue to improve the documentation quality based on review/approval process and feedback received from stakeholders
Contribute to documentation development lifecycle improvements that enable efficient delivery of quality documentation content

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience in the semiconductor industry
Experience in technical writing for digital, analog or power semiconductor products preferred
Excellent writing, editorial, communication, and project management skills.
Minimum 8 years of experience in technical writing
Experience generating technical documentation (including text and graphics) with Microsoft Office suite, Visio, and Adobe FrameMaker, Photoshop and Illustrator
Experience with Sphinx, HTML or XML a plus
