Indie Semiconductor is a fabless semiconductor company specializing in the design of innovative mixed-signal System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions for automotive applications.
As Marketing Director you will be part of the market-focused indie sales and marketing team, responsible for managing and growing new business within one or more assigned markets for the mixed-signal microcontroller space. The scope of responsibilities includes customer discussions, new product definition, business case generation and analysis, promotion, pricing strategy, and long-term roadmap for new IP development.
Other activities include overall market segment TAM/SAM/SOM modeling, tracking adjacent segment trends and dynamics, competitive threat analysis and R&D investment study and recommendations.
This role is key for indie to develop and drive its continued growth by leveraging its core analog engineering and micro-controller strengths while finding creative ways to apply existing technology. The role will work collaboratively with the sales, customer and design engineering teams to propose, develop and introduce new product concepts, roadmaps and associated strategies.
As a product line director, you will have overall responsibility for driving product promotion at selected key customers, including product collateral and sales presentations. Key performance metrics include new product design-wins, time to market assessment, accretive revenue growth, and new customer acquisition.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives within a fast-paced, dynamic, small company environment with multiple competing priorities and who finds satisfaction in being making a real difference and accomplishing results quickly and accurately.
Experience with ARM Cortex-based microcontrollers, the automotive semiconductor market and working in a global, matrixed organization is preferred.

Overall market segment strategy and business plan
Writing Marketing Requirement Documents (MRD) and Marketing Plans and assisting their transition to product specification or Product Requirement Documents (PRD)
Ensuring product and project propositions are properly researched, justified and structured to maximize revenue and ROI for indie
Consolidating product collateral and product support documentation for customer facing activities
Setting Roadmaps and business direction, interacting with customer activities through a close working relationship with sales team
Defining account strategies for your customer base; driving engagement through the discovery, evaluation, negotiation and design win process
Sales training material generation
MS in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field; MBA is a plus
At least 15 years of experience in semiconductors
Strong sense of customer orientation and effectiveness
Experience in IC design or application engineering preferred
Analog electronics as well as Microcontroller and embedded system understanding
Relevant semiconductor market exposure
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to confront tough issues and contribute to collaborative solutions
Willing to travel ~25% of the time (Detroit area, Europe)
