Junior Analog Design Engineer

indie Semiconductor is a fabless semiconductor company specializing in the design of innovative mixed-signal System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions for automotive applications.

indie’s internship program is designed for driven individuals who are looking for hands-on, real-world job experience with guidance and mentorship. Our program focuses on expanding skill sets, building upon education, and providing professional support within the autotech industry. Interns will engage with actual customer projects, both in the lab and with indie’s global teams, with the opportunity to provide meaningful contributions to new software development, product designs, and more. 


indie is recruiting outstanding talented individuals to build innovative system solutions with integrated micro controllers and custom ASICs across various segments including automotive infotainment, home automation, medical and RF connectivity. We are currently seeking talented and motived analog/mixed signal IC design engineers to join the Indie team at our headquarters in Aliso Viejo, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-growing startup environment, where your contribution will directly drive the success of the products you work on.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop basic analog IPs including op amps, oscillators, etc

  • Develop test benches in Cadence to simulate and characterize IP blocks including LDO’s, ADC’s, DAC’s, GPIO’s bias blocks, etc

  • Develop behavioral models of both analog and digital circuits

  • Analyze lab and production data and correlate to simulation results/expectations

  • BS degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering and/or related experience.

  • Solid grasp of analog circuit design fundamentals and theory

  • Strong knowledge of CMOS fundamentals

  • Excellent debug skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with good attention to detail

  • Understanding of programming languages (Veriloga, SystemVerilog, Python) is a plus

  • Understanding of Candence is a plus
