Embedded Software Engineer

indie Semiconductor is a fabless semiconductor company specializing in the design of innovative mixed-signal System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions for automotive applications.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with the IC design team and marketing team to determine software specifications. 

  • Translate the software specifications to software requirements, create software design, and software unit test plan. 

  • Develop the embedded software according to software requirements and design documents. 

  • Testing the software according to software unit test plan. 

  • Fixing bugs and optimizing the system. 

  • Maintaining the software program. 

  • Provide required software support for IC bring up. 

  • Provide required software support for IC evaluation. 

  • Create driver library for the IC. 

  • Software configuration management and software integration.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or electrical      engineering. Master’s      degree is preferred.

  • Experience with a complete life cycle of an embedded software      system.

  • Strong C programming skills, proficient in C++ is a plus.

  • In depth knowledge of real time operating system coding      techniques.

  • In depth knowledge of microcontroller programming and debugging      techniques.

  • Knowledge of hardware interface and protocols, such as UART, I2C      and SPI etc. Knowledge of LIN, CAN      and NFC is a plus.

  • Experience in wireless charging protocol is a plus.

  • Proven experience in embedded      software programming with real time operating system is a plus.

  • Familiarity with software process and configuration tools.

  • Advanced problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication skills.

  • High-level documentation skills.

  • Knowledge of MISRA C/C++ rules      and automotive SPICE is a plus.

  • Experience in software      configuration management is a plus.
