Mr. Ghislain Lafrance is Executive Vice President of indie and President of TeraXion, an indie Semiconductor company focusing on the design and manufacturing of innovative, high-end components incorporating low noise lasers, Bragg gratings and integrated photonics for optical communications, fiber optics, optical remote sensing and laser system markets.
Prior to joining us in October 2021 via indie’s acquisition of TeraXion, Mr. Lafrance was President and CEO of TeraXion, a position he held since 2019. He co-founded TeraXion in 2000 and has held various roles at the company over the years, including production manager, vice president of the laser and photonic components business unit and vice president of marketing and technologies. Before co-founding TeraXion, Mr. Lafrance was Head of Laser Technology at INO from 1996 to 2000 and a Project Manager at Exfo from 1994 to 1996.
Mr. Lafrance holds a Masters and Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Laval University and chairs the Board of Directors of SA2GE, a non-profit coalition for greener aircraft.
