EVP and GM of Vision
Mr. Abhay Rai, Executive Vice President and General Manager of indie Semiconductor's Vision business unit, is responsible for developing embedded vision processing, perception and sensor fusion solutions for automotive applications. Mr. Rai has been a leader in expanding the Company's sensing portfolio through accelerated internal development and inorganic growth.
Prior to joining indie in January 2021, Mr. Rai was the Global Vice President of Product Marketing for Visteon, responsible for new product development, introduction, and expansion into the automotive electronics and electrification market. In 2017, he was Head of Automotive Sensor Marketing for Sony, and before that held the position of Director of Sales and Product Marketing for Automotive Imaging. While at Sony, Mr. Rai was pivotal in forging new paths for the Company within the automotive industry, and is especially noted for several design wins for camera solutions in ADAS and automated driving vehicle platforms. Before that, Mr. Rai held various roles within Aptina, which was acquired by Onsemi in 2014. He went on to establish market leadership for the company as the head of Technical Marketing and Solution Architecture for Automotive Image Sensing.
Mr. Rai earned his MSEE from Colorado State University and an Executive MBA from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. Mr. Rai has lived and worked in five different countries and holds nine global patents.
