Job Overview:
Join one of the premier Autotech semiconductor and software suppliers in the world and play a pivotal role as we prepare to become a publicly traded company. Accordingly, indie Semiconductor is in immediate need for a talented and highly experienced Director of External Financial Reporting. Initially, your primary responsibility will be to assist with preparing financial schedules to be included in the Company’s SEC registration statements. Over the coming months, your role will quickly expand to include preparation of all financial statements and schedules, including monthly internal statements and external quarterly and annual filings with the SEC. In addition, this individual will be the point person on all technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, consolidations and purchase accounting.
Key Responsibilities:

Production, review and filing of financial statements, including supporting schedules, footnotes, and MD&A

Design and optimize the financial close and reporting process to meet public company reporting timelines and standards

Responsible for monitoring GAAP & SEC regulatory developments; research and present relevant changes and contemplate implications to the company; educate stakeholders and spearhead adoption of new standards

Ensure policies and procedures pertaining to ICOFR are adequate and regularly updated; identify risks and assist in design of internal controls to ensure accurate and timely financial statements

Build and coordinate approval process for the release of external financial statements including disclosure committee and sub-certification processes

Responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining external reporting policies and standard operating procedures

Partner with Legal and Operations for accurate & timely regulatory responses and to ensure communication on external reporting matters are being surfaced and addressed timely

Coordinate with auditors to ensure auditor requests are completed timely and documented properly. Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audit
Main Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA designation is required

At least 5 years relevant experience is required; at least 3 years of public company experience producing 10-Ks & 10-Qs is preferred; Big Four accounting firm and/or tech manufacturing industry experience preferred

Experience building relationships and working directly with senior executives required; experience interfacing with external auditors, counsel, audit committee is preferred

Demonstrated ability to leverage IT resources to efficiently design, document, monitor, assess and continuously improve a robust set of control procedures in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley is required

Time management skills in a fast-paced environment, with excellent attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines is required

Excellent business and finance acumen; strong oral and written communication skills are required

Strong organizational skills and experience and familiarity with XBRL tagging and filing process is required

Advanced ERP and MS Excel capabilities required; experience with NetSuite and Wdesk would be assets
