The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is part of the indie quality team, responsible for the qualification, monitoring and continuous improvement of indie suppliers and subcontractors.

Support the supplier development team with qualification activities of new suppliers/subcontractors.
Drive supplier/subcontractor compliance to indie quality and product requirements. Create and negotiate quality agreements.
Maintain and execute the supplier/subcontractor audit plan/schedule.
Drive supplier/subcontractor PPAP submission and approval.
Process and track supplier/subcontractor change notifications
Support Product Engineering with the evaluation of maverick lot information and other quality related issues at subcontractors.
Drive supplier/subcontractor quality data reporting and analysis.
Track supplier/subcon non-conformance and indie complaints, drive corrective and preventive action through the 8D methodology.
Drive and track supplier/subcon continuous improvement activities.
Support the supplier development and management teams with supplier/subcon performance data.
Perform continuous improvement activities of the indie supplier development process and procedures.
5+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry Process or Quality Engineering.
Experience in performing quality and process audits.
Experience with automotive semiconductor requirements (AEC), PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, IATF16949 and VDA 6.3is a plus.
BS/MS in Electrical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
The successful candidate must have a strong manufacturing and quality engineering skills, data analysis skills as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience interfacing and negotiating with suppliers is required.
Fact-based, decision making skills with focus on root cause analysis and corrective action.
Attention to details.
Domestic and international travel will be required.
