Electronics Engineer (Customer Quality Assurance)

Job Responsibilities:

Research, develop, and test customer quality requirements for custom, microcontroller-based chips using ARM cores. Responsible for customer production part approval (PPAP), resolution of customer issues such as factory, 0km and warranty failures, working with customers on FMEA (i.e. risk analysis and mitigation) analysis during the design phase, and continuous customer satisfaction analysis and reporting. Provide onsite and remote technical support for initial investigations of engineering, factory, 0km and warranty failures. Represent Company Quality function in all Design Engineering discussions, especially New Product, Development activities involving DFMEA. Document failure analysis procedures and assist Engineering teams in developing containment tests. Continue to improve the customer scorecard and support customer satisfaction review

Required education:

Master of Science or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related.

Work Experience Requirements:

1 year as Process Engineer or related.

Additional requirements: work experience to include at least 1 year of the following:

  • (1) Semiconductor ICs of electronic modules in automotive vehicles;

  • (2) IC wafer manufacturing processes;

  • (3) Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (Design and Process);

  • (4) Design for Manufacturing (DFM);

  • (5) Statistical Process  Control (SPC) in the IC manufacturing processes; (6) IC integration into customer designs.

Travel Required/Telecommute:

Employee permitted to telecommute from home for up to 95% of work time. Employee required to attend important meetings at corporate headquarters 5% of time. Position requires 15% domestic and 5% international travel. Company will pay all travel expenses. 40 hours/ week. Job site/interview: Aliso Viejo, CA. EOE
